Me? Typically not at all unless some characteristic of the media in question is immediately relevant to it being lost somehow, like if the media offended some people which lead to it getting banned and lost as a result.
I personally find the second paragraph of this article to be unnecessary, and so is the second sentence in the third one talking about the meme. Anyone who would care about the lost media in question would already know all of those things. I mention this in the comments of the article.
What do you guys think about this stuff? How much should article describe the media in question?
(EDIT: I realized it's also appropriate to describe the thing when trying to describe why it's notable enough to warrant an article in the article itself, but this obviously isn't needed all the time.)
i have to agree with you , there's lots of useless / redundant info . anyone who is interested in that search should know the basic story of the game . and if they really wanted to mention the meme ,they could have added an extras section .

It depends on how much information that's either available or I'm formally familiar with if it's relatively obscure. In that case, I'll settle for an article that needs polishing up in case someone else has more insight on it than I do. It's a case of "it is what it is", if that makes sense.

Yesterday, I had written a new thread for the “Unidentified Media” category. A variant of the 2001 Playhouse Disney logo featuring Olie and Spot from Rolie Polie Olie. The CLG Wiki says the variant does indeed exist, but there is no footage of it online currently.

I put everything I have into articles, with whatever evidence, links and information I can reasonably find. I think adding as much as possible, to degree even speculation if the actual origin is in question (country, possible year) helps, because on more than one occasion I've seen things on TOMT where someone was "sure" that something was from the 80s and when it was found it was from the 2000s or something. I think it's important to put everything you have, all scraps of info, since it may come down to "this was possibly in 1997" that changes things.

I attempt to do that in each article I write as well, unfortunately; every recent article I’ve made hasn’t been very popular.
