For some reason I remember an animation movie/anthology episode from when I was 5 in the 90s really well. I don't remember the title, but I remember the characters having more realistic anatomy so more like anime or Disney princesses (which it wasn't as I would've probably found it by now) rather than cartoony. I remember the female protagonist having blonde hair, but I don't remember how anyone else looked or any other details about her. It was most likely on a fairy tale, I thought Grimm but someone I discussed with said that it was more likely Slavic. But here's what I remember happening:
Once upon a time there was a girl. She falls in love with a guy, and finds out he's a prince. The two of them get married against his mother's wishes. So except for an evil queen, the two are rather happy and are going to have children, and the queen wants to be midwife. So she gives birth, and the queen drops the child into the moat and tells her she's sorry but it was still birth. The crown princess is sad, but the crown prince only says "we can make another one". So again she gets pregnant, gives birth, queen drops child into the moat. So the girl wants to divorce the prince, clearly there's something wrong with her. The prince begs her to try again, they do, and the queen yet again drops the child into the moat. The princess says she has had enough, and runs to the moat to drown herself, while the prince follows her to stop her.

Suddenly among the frogs croaking they hear child laughter. So hey run down to the water bank and there they see the children (all still somehow babies and not heard by anyone else after all these years) having been raised by the frogs. The two now understand what happened and create a plan to punish the queen. So the prince summons her to a chamber, where he asks her "What would you to a traitor that threatens the lineage of the royal family" or something. So the queen, thinking he means his wife replies "take them to a field, and tie every limb to a wild horse each that are then let loose". Then the curtain drops and the princess somehow holding all the babies stands there. "But I thought I killed...". Scene change. Now the couple are king and queen, smiling and sitting in the audience on a grand stand placed on a field with their children. One see some soldiers tie the previous queen to wild horses as she described, while she begs for her life. Then the rope holding the horses is cut, and it fades to black as one hear her chilling scream. Then the credits roll.
It's really messed up so it has really stuck with me all this time..! Anyone got any idea what it's called or where it's from? I want to watch it again to see how much I was right about.
