Geez you never know what's causes a lost media hunt.
Agreed. It's surprising how little people seem to remember these bumpers, i feel like these would be traumatic for kids but surprisingly, not many people talk about them. Not even from the night that they aired which is crazy. Sometimes things just get lost. Even things you would think would get a big reaction. Like i feel like there would be a news report of like "Nicktoons shows terrifying bumpers on Halloween" or concerned parents talking about it. But we're going to find them eventually.
NICKELODEON ACKNOWLEDGED THE EXISTENCE OF THE SHORTS KIND OF I THINK?!!! On Instagram the official Nickelodeon account posted some Cosmo and Wanda anatomy thing and I left a comment saying it looks like Nicktoons Gets Zombified and they replied. All that said was "definitely giving zombie vibes". Not much but I thought it was worth sharing

Well these bumpers did air on Nicktoons Channel which is very unpopular to begin with so it makes sense why these bumpers would fall into obscurity.

Thing is that upon looking into the bumpers online, yeah, there's very few people who actively talked about them. BUT, the few who did absolutely were scarred or traumatized to some extent. Myself included. That's why I'm so interested and intrigued by this hunt, and why I'm glad it picked up steam.
I didn't know I could edit entire thread titles until now. Corrected it with 2011 now that we have exact air dates.
It also infuriates me that the SpongeBob bump just so happens to be the one that's lost. It's the one I remember the most distinctly - it would cut in and out of black every few seconds, and SpongeBob n Patrick were bouncing similarly to the Fanboy n ChumChum bump. THAT one in particular was the one that stuck out to me the most, I have this distinct memory of 9 year old me hiding under a blanket because I lost the remote, and the bump was on full-blast on my dingy family CRT. It sucked, and being autistic it caused SO much sensory overload (especially with that horrid CRT hum).

Quick question, was Zombie Spongebob looking a little like this or was it a totally different model,i always been curious to know ever since i found the image on the WayBackMachine.Mind i've found this model in the game section so they might have used a different flash model for the bumper itself.

This is incredibly interesting. This is probably the best lead for the Spongebob bumper we have gotten so far since we now at least have a description on what Spongebob looked like. Thank you for helping with the search btw. I wanna ask something, sorry if you feel bombarded with questions about this, but do you happen to remember what Patrick looked like? If you don't, that's alright.
No worries, glad to help in any way. I have a very vague picture in my head of what Patrick looked like, it's hard to remember when you've intentionally tried to repress it for years lmao. I wanna say your typical, generic zombified look. Dead Bart-eyes, maniac smile, fully limbed but still decaying. Like I said, the style was like the FoP bump, but the animation was far more like the Fanboy n ChumChum one.
I remember the Mighty-B bump had drastically different animation from any of the others. Bessie was twitching similarly to a FNaF animatronic, with much more stuttery animation. I used to watch Nicktoons religiously back in the day, especially at late-night/early-morning hours. I want to think the Mighty-B bump was the first one of the bunch to air.

Okay, and was there a quick animation at the end? Like how Chum Chum fell apart after jumping off the couch in his bumper, or when Cosmo’s jaw fell off in his, and Bessie’s glass came off with her screaming at the end of hers?
One place I didn't think to look for was old Nicktoon Facebook groups. Sometimes they keep older videos and clips there that have been forgotten or just haven't been erased yet. I know it's how i found an old lost french clip from 2001 a while ago. Might take a look there later, but yeah i just thought it could be an idea at the point we're at, might as well look everywhere.
