So as far as I can tell, the biggest grievance we have with Wikia is that the Old LMW is going to redirect all our newcomers to them. I propose that we attempt to convince wikia to change the old LMW's name to something different, like The Lost Document wiki, or the Lost Media Archive or something. Dycaite DOES own the copyright for the old LMW's background, and with it, we could argue that without a banner, the name is less important.
If we can convince them, then we get independence, and overflow traffic, and we don't petition wikia to shut down the old LMW. We keep our name for ourselves, and in the end I think the name and the URL are all that matters to a search engine. The only way I see this backfiring is if wikia tries to convince US to change instead.
What do you all think? Should we talk with Bert about it?
