Please excuse all the threads, I have quite a few lost media I am trying to find. Years ago downloaded a short clip around 1 minute long, (it wasn't the full song) of a song by Terry Cashman (the guy who sings Baseball songs). I don't know the name of the song and can't find it anywhere based on the lyrics I remember. It is no on Spotify. It may have been about a baseball player or manager or some sports person as that is usually what his songs were about. The lyrics I remember may have been the chorus:
I'm going back (or home) to Alabama, Where the stars fill the night in the summer sky (or southern sky), A southern breeze blows, And everybody knows You grew up with a little bit Of southern pride
The song was slow in tempo and may have had an acoustic guitar. I think I found it on a website that had audio of someone interviewing Terry Cashman but that might have been mid to late 00s or later. Anyone know what song this is?
Update: I think I may have found the song. It could be Crimson Pride (Alabama) by Terry Cashman listed on this album here: www.americanoriginalscds.com/themes.html but I can't find lyrics, an audio clip or the album for sale anywhere but I think that is the song I remember, if I could only hear it again I'd know.
