Back when I used to live in Mexico (between 2003-06 I must have been a kid in primary school) I saw this animated short or pilot(for ease let's call it a short) in Cartoon network. I can't recall the name of the short but it was about a space captain in the nature of Zapp Branigan or Duck Dodgers and his team of dumb, klutzy and incompetent side kicks having space shenanigans and getting into trouble. There were a few things that really got my attention of this short:
1. It had a slight bit of an adult edge to it, like there were some adult jokes oriented jokes I can’t recall but I remember there were some.
2. The animation had the feel of a Ren and Stimpy cartoon: overly detailed frames and gross out humour.
3. Two of the side kicks I later saw on this kids show called Atomic Betty : for sure Sparky was in it and possibly X-5( pictures below). They were part of the cast, mind you I had never seen them or Atomic Betty prior to watching the short and recognised the two from this short right away when I saw them in this kids cartoon.

I can't remember much of what it was about, but I do remember a segment from it : “Sparky” had gotten sick from a weird formula he took after going to the bathroom thinking it was hand soap. He kept transforming into grotesque things until he turned into a ditzy girl with a huge chest and curvy hips, who later on destroys the ship and ends up in the whole crew being stranded in a tiny escape pod at the end of the short “Sparky” says to captain that he had to go to the bathroom again.
Since I was a kid when I saw it I didn’t really care who made the cartoons or who the writers were so I can't tell you more than I just did in this post. I took the trouble of checking what little hunches I had like checking of shows that the production company that created Atomic betty (Atomic Cartoons) had produced previously before Atomic Betty and found nothing that resembled what I had been looking for, I'm not even sure if it even aired outside of Mexico. If you know anything about this you will give me some closure on my search to stuff I remember but can't fully recall.
