Well, here's one I forgot to make a thread about and I'm months behind the bandwagon with the news - so I'm sure someone already knows about this. I'm not sure if this is worth making an article about, but I'll leave that up to you; especially any New Yorkers here who may find it interesting.
I learned about the New York City billionaire residential building 432 Park Aveue by way of Amanda (Swell Entertainment) who made a video about it in March of this year, where she discussed a general overview of the building, the controversy with it, and a TikTok user who brought attention to it. Both she and the 432 Park Avenue Hate TikToker just bring us down a wild rabbit hole of how this monstrosity exists, including an interesting note at the end of Amanda's video where she says that there's reportedly been a film made to sell apartments for 432 Park Avenue. It was said to only been shown to by the sales department, and have a whopping budget of $1M for being less than five minutes long. Both she and the TikTok page briefly talked about what the plot was said to be, and that we know that the film exists because bizarre production photos were floating around. Some of the photos and plot points of the video included, but wasn't limited to;
- Phillipe Petit, the Twin Towers high-wire walker
- King Kong
- Silent era Hollywood actress Ana May Wong
- Spiderman
- Al Capone
- The Wright Brothers
Shortly after Amanda made her video, she made a pinned comment stating that the film was finally recovered and the anonymous person who sent it to her was rewarded. It appears that the film was on YouTube, but it was taken down and a commenter on Amanda's video, BeeCharma, uploaded a low res video of it in it's place. On Amanda's Twitter page, someone included a link to the original video in a comment thread. However, I'm not able to embed the video itself. But, I'll include a link to it and let someone else have a hand at trying to extract it since I wasn't able to. Also, I haven't been able to find any information about the cast and crew for this, so I can't say much about who is responsible for this fever dream.
