I have a few memories of this movie that I saw between 1991 and 1995 when I was young. I do not recall the name of it and can't seem to find it.
From what I remember it looks like it was probably made in the 1970s and it had a Wild West setting. What made it a bit unusual is that it also had a horror theme. I think it was centered on one or two blonde pre-teen/teen boy(s) and I think one of them had an evil side. One of the things that stood out to me is that there were some scenes showing close-up shots of one of the boys and his eyes were glowing red whenever he was doing something bad like killing someone.
In one scene I think he was facing a big strange cowboy who was about to do something to him like take him away, then the above mentioned close-up shot appeared. Then the man was heard screaming. The next scene showed a recently-dug grave with what I presume to be the man from the previous scene who had just been buried. On top of the mound of dirt on the grave, there was a small toy horse. I think the toy horse played an important part of the movie and I believe it belonged to one of the boys.
