So I'm reposting this from ToMT from Reddit, because I feel that you all could be of help.
"So I have this on tape, somewhere. But my collection is in storage right now and it's just killing me that I can't remember what this is called.
From what I remember, it's a cartoon movie (late 80s-mid 90s, I'm guessing) starring animals in a rock band. There is at least one dog. They may all be dogs, or different animals. I can't remember. I believe the dog is on the VHS case, and I think the design is relatively simplistic with a blue background. Or maybe the dog is blue.
It's about Christmas. I thought it was called Jingle Bell Rock, but the 1995 cartoon I found with that name definitely isn't it. I know for a fact it was about a dog.
It's not a well known franchise or anything. If I remember properly, the animation isn't great. But I was actually surprised with how much I enjoyed the film. It really wasn't awful, even though all signs pointed to it being so.
Edit: Only lead I've found on the internet. Posted as a blog comment in 2011: "I’m looking for a Christmas movie I think it was only ever aired on T.V. It is with dogs that are in a band. I remember it from the 90’s and the main singer in the band had a father who ran away or something like that? The father ends up dressing as Santa at the end. I NEED to find this movie!"
So this may have happened in the movie. I'm assuming it has to be the same one.
Edit: Again in 2015. "I’m looking for a animated Christmas movie @1989-1990 (it was on VCR tape) about a young dog who play a guitar who meets his dad that left when he was a puppy, His father didn’t want him to go in music business, But the young dog makes it…" IT EXISTS"
Does anyone remember this cartoon? It seems to absolutely not exist on the internet, although I may not be using the right queries. Like I said, I have the VHS. I just don't have access to it at the moment. I'd just like to watch the film online, but I didn't think it'd be this obscure!
Edit: Never mind, d'oh. I found it. It's called Jingle Bell Rap. The only clip I can find is pretty hilarious...
