Do you ever get this somewhat nostalgic feeling whenever you listen to 90s pop, rock, and grunge… it brings back memories of a time you weren’t even alive in but you feel like you lived through it all while listening to that music.

Not really but I do enjoy music from the good old days even early to mid 2000s music was better than music produced after 2017.

something about any music from any decade are nostalgic honestly, i think the 90s are the most talked about cause there is alot of variety of music that was released, from grunge to pop punk, crunk to the early stages of experimental rap and indie rock reaching popularity. movements like the riot gurl, britpop, and nu metal movement while short definitely had an impact for people growing up imo.
I wouldn't say that 90s music makes me feel like I'm in the 90s, but it was a great time because it was a real "anything goes" era for hit songs. Tbh I feel like some 70s music makes me feel more like I'm time travelling but I don't think I like it as much as 90s music. I usually listen to stuff in like the past 20 years though because I was only born in 1999.
Complaining about something is not the same as being surprised about it

Honestly the ‘90’s is probably the decade I’m least familiar with (music wise). I was a young kid in the ‘90’s, so I mostly just listened to the music my parents liked, which was jazz with my dad and early rock n roll with my mom. It’s a smidge too recent to come on the classic hits station I listen to. There have been some ‘90’s songs in recent years, and I’m sure there will be more in the future.

A lot of 90s culture has an intrinsic sense of optimism and bliss to it. Probably because the Cold War was over, the economy booming, a government surplus and an overall sense that the world was moving in the right direction. The media largely reflected this.
It's definitely partly due to nostalgia but I absolutely get a feeling of warmth when I listen to, say, "Baby Baby" by Amy Grant or pull out an I Spy book or watch an episode of Clarissa Explains It All. It's like they just embody a happier time before 9/11 and political polarization destroyed everything that was once good about America
