Hey there, I've been looking for this one for years with no luck;
In the early 90's the Scifi channel used to show short films to fill time; especially at Halloween.
These were a lot like The Dummy and other short horror films that used to air on HBO (There was probably some overlap between them)
The short I saw aired around '93, and took place in a hotel;
*The short tells the story of a haunted room in the hotel. I think the story is told in 3rd person about why they don't rent the room.
*On their honeymoon, a husband thinks his wife is unfaithful and strangles her, then jumps out the window
* A bellhop either keeps seeing the door open by itself, or keeps trying to open/peer through the door
*The short ends with an abrupt shot from the hall of the rotted ghosts of the couple in wedding attire strangling the bellhop as the door creaks shut
The short had an 80's feel, and was shot on film. It was dark in exposure (If I remember, you can barley see the ghost couple as little more than tattered silhouettes)
It was def a short, not a film; It had the feel of an episode of Monsters, or TFTD, or a segment from an anthology; but I remember beginning and ending credits.
I want to say it might have been part of a special Halloween airing of short indie horror films almost like AMC's Short Screamers years later. I do remember about the same time a short about pumpkins becoming possessed on Halloween night and flying around, only to explode when they sun came up (thus explaining where all those smashed pumpkins come from)
BTW; if you know of any other obscure 80's/90's horror shorts, feel free to add suggestions; I love to find new spooky!
