Yesterday over on the Lost Commercials server, someone mentioned a lost PSA they recall seeing in the late 2000's.
I remember this one anti-drug PSA really well but I haven’t found it anywhere online. From what I remember it looked super low budget, so I’m guessing it was a local ad (I’m from Montana btw).
The PSA had a guy with an emo haircut behind a kitchen counter speaking directly to the camera, as he put things such as batteries and rat poison into a blender and mixing everything into a brown looking sludge. The ad aired constantly on channels such as Cartoon Network and possibly Nickelodeon. The time frame that it would have aired would be from the mid to late 2000s.
I asked my friends if they remember this PSA and they confirmed that it was real and not a strange false memory I had. One of them suggested that it could be from the Montana Meth Project. But due to the low budget nature of the PSA in question, and the nature of PSAs from the Montana Meth Project. I’m almost positive that it wasn’t made by that organization.
So far I found one similar PSA, but unfortunately it led me into a dead end. I hope that one day this ad can be found for nostalgias sake.
After some speculation and theories, an organization that may have made it, ReACT, was found. A few minutes later, Automaton found a screenshot of the ad, but the link was not working.
The next day, Anonymousredditor39 contacted ReACT, but unfortunately they do not share old materials. A few minutes later, the PSA was found under the title "'Blender' ad," and was posted in May of 2007.
