Everyone knows about Meow Wolf's Omega Mart (You have no idea what's in store for you) in Las Vegas. But Meow Wolf had earlier set up the same exhibit in 2009 and 2012. I am looking for pictures and videos of those, particularly the satire products.
Some video clips of the older exhibits are in this video:
This is a super late reply, but you know how they mention getting the help of kids in the school district? I was in one of those classes (though none of my ideas ever made it into the store and I got pulled out of class a lot, so it's possible I didn't get to do much designing). I made an account to make this post. If needed, I can provide proof (I have my 2011 school yearbook for one of the schools listed in this article: www.abqjournal.com/121030/sf-grocery-store-an-elaborate-prank.html).
www.yelp.com/biz/omega-mart-santa-fe (Yelp- note that this address is wrong. St. Michaels' Village, the shopping center that 2012 OM was in, is on the side of the road with only even numbers. The actual address is 142)
A disclaimer: I never visited the installation when it was open since none of my stuff was there and I was unsure what exactly it was supposed to be. I did visit the Due Return (A pre-HoER Meow Wolf installation) and the House of Eternal Return within 2 months or so of opening.
I noticed that one post on the facebook page has an 'Artist rendering of our very first location in Columbia, MO'. This implies that, like HoER takes place in Mendocino, CA, OM's story begins in somewhere other than the actual location of the installation.

Welcome to the forum, omegalomania . Thanks for sharing your story and sources. It was nice to see the oddness that made Omega Mart what it is already present in 2012.
Were you or anyone else involved in the 2012 exhibit invited to participate in the current Las Vegas installation?
Can't access the Facebook links (no way getting past the login screen. Could you post screenshots?
I feel like if I quote the post it'll be too long. Here are my answers, though:
I was barely involved in the 2012 installation. I mentioned that none of my ideas made it into the store, if I was even able to design anything in the class visit at all. A name is mentioned in the ABQ journal article of someone whose work did make it in, so maybe it would be worth contacting them. I wasn't contacted to help with the 2021 version, and I don't live near Las Vegas at all.

Thanks again for your answers and for the screenshots. I may pursue that lead in the future (contacting the mentioned name).
