I propose a rule requiring a user to put the title of the media involved in the title. This would avoid clickbait like this: "I think I have some great news!"

If this was to go into effect, I would propose maybe a system like TOMT instead for the unidentified media, stating what the type of media is and the time it existed. In fact, the year part could go for all thread titles
Example: Help me find this [MOVIE][1990s]

We try to change these when we notice them - feel free to report the threads and we can edit the titles where needed. I changed this one.
As of yesterday I started on the task of reorganizing the lost media section in the forum. In the subforums for search efforts, when they are added, we will definitely be more strict about requiring every thread to say what they're about in the title. That said it's going to take a while to sort every thread so this won't be immediate, but with any luck, it will still be ACTUALLY soon and not "Soon(tm)".

I like the sound of that.
im all in for getting a better idea on what on the person is coming from in terms of types of media.

Sounds good to me. My issue is you can only type SO LITTLE into the description, some things just don't fit in like seven words.

Wait there is a title word limit here? As in hardcoded by Proboards software The four words I picked were just an example, you could put anything else before the type and year.

On two separate occasions, I have tried to write more detailed descriptions in a title and hit a word limit, so...idk that may be my computer fucking up lol
Try it and see, I think it's like ten or twelve words. Or a certain number of letters at least.

Alright it seems that the limit is 60 characters. I would suggest a flair system like Reddit, but I don't think you can do that with forums (or at least Proboards software, which is what this forum runs on)
