Searching terms in Japanese hasn't given me any related results so far, and neither has Konami's website web archive.
A few discrepancies from the links as well: - The GameFAQs link mentions "Youlide-Chui nu" as it's Japanese title, but IMBD states that's the title it's referred to in "Hong Kong (Cantonese)," but I cannot back this up as I don't speak it.... - The KLOV site having it titled as "ザ・パワーパフ・ガールズ," or "The Powerpuff Girls", doesn't line up to it's actual localized name, "パワーパフガール," which is simply "Powerpuff Girls."
Hmmm. interesting information. Will respond below: I have a friend who speaks Cantonese, I asked them and will get back when they respond I looked up the PPGZ name in case they used that instead and it is "出ましたっ!パワパフガールズ Z" (translated to "They're Here! Powerpuff Girls Z"), which again uses the localized name "パワーパフガールズ" and not "パワーパフ・ガールズ".
That thread link also said that KLOV before was full of rumors and did not have a filter until recently (this would explain why the forum for KLOV is invite only/donater & developer exclusive)

I looked up "Powerpuff Girls Cantonese" on Google and found from a YT video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDB5z1TxHhA) the Cantonese name (at least for the reboot) is "飛天小女警". This TTS software that can do Cantonese (https://www.eguidedog.net/ekho.php) shows those Chinese characters do not sound like "Youlide-Chui nu", but if someone that knows Cantonese can watch the video, we can know for sure

Knowing that the site where the original info came from is known for creating hoaxes, I don't think it's looking good. In the very least, I really doubt this would be an official release of any kind, let alone having anything to do with Konami. I could be wrong though.

Yup, I am leaning more towards that it is a fake rumor than bootleg game now, since KLOV in the past was known/is known for making fake articles for games.
Unless another site cites a different source for this game, it is 99.9% fake.

Which is a shame, I'd love to see a PPG beat'em up, it's such a great fit

I agree, I'll do a little more research, but the sad reality is probably the true one

EDIT: Although it is a hoax, I do agree with @ kal with what they said on the thread vhs sent: "Someone has clearly duped the entire internet, with the game cropping up in IMDB, Gamefaqs, Klov, Wikipedia amoung others"

Wow what a shame. I'm not totally surprised it's a hoax though, all the sources in the original post essentially only linked to one site making the claim. Not to mention the gameplay that was described made little sense.
Now we just need to push for a real PPG beat'em up because that sounds so fun.

Yup agree with what you said. OP of this thread snowygirl can mark this as solved now. What a shame this is a hoax tho, it would make perfect sense

Yes, I do think it's most likely a hoax, but NONE of those forum discussions confirm any of that. They are very speculative and based on western audience. Thus in theory it's possible the game did exist for a short period of time in Japan but it wasn't documented properly here in the west.
Although, I can't wrap my head around why the title would be in Chinese if it was released by Konami in Japan?

Wikipedia isn't the most reliable of sources, so I doubt it exists based on Wikipedia alone.
Like what vhs said, many of the sources have conflicting information. I tried searching in Japanese for this, but it brought up nothing related to this.
There are two titles: ザ・パワーパフ・ガールズ (Japanese) and Youlide-Chui nu (Cantonese)

Again, I do think a bootleg could easily exist and was spotted somewhere and somebody documented it. Maybe a good way to resolve this would be to just look at an entire library of Konami arcade machines, although I just have a feeling it's either not a thing, or Konami actually has nothing to do with it. Also a prototype is possible, but that wouldn't explain how or why someone on the site spotted it. I think the writing is really on the wall because the site is known for hoaxes, a Wikipedia article isn't a bad start, but Wikipedia also pushed those Astrology with Squidward rumors so I take it with a grain of salt.
Disclaimer: I can't really speak Chinese, but I understand a few characters and a tiny bit of grammar. I eat paste for breakfast.
Now I believe that this has more-or-less been proven to be a hoax, but here is some more info to consider:
The name "Youlide-Chui nu" is the *MANDARIN* romanization of the Chinese characters "有力的吹女" (Yǒulì de chuī nǚ). KLOV said it was the *Cantonese* name, right?
Next up, "有力的吹女" literally means 有力(Powerful) 的(possessive marker like Japanese の) 吹(To blow or *puff*) 女(woman) = something like "Powerful-puffing woman".
I suspect the original author must've typed "Power Puff Girls" into Babelfish.
Another note: "The PCB board has battery on it and when it dies, the board will no longer operate." The game would've been no more than a few years old at the time. Batteries don't usually die that quickly.
This also just popped up in my head, and I could be simply misremembering the show...but wasn't there an episode where the Ganggreen Gang play a Powerpuff Girl beat'em up arcade machine? Is it possible the person who made this post on klov was just wishing the game was real? Maybe that's a stretch, but would be a random coincidence.
