Hey there!
I think Im posting this thread in the correct section, but let me know if Im not!
I make videos on lost and obscure video games and anime (you can check out my stuff here) and I'm working on starting a series about lost anime dubs as viewers frequently request that.
Now, the biggest thing with this is that there are a LOT of lost dubs and I simply don't know where to start.
If anyone could suggest the biggest, most searched for, lost dubs I can include, that would be awesome! Preferably lost English dubs for anime, as taking on other dubs will have to wait until later.
I already have some interesting ones (Albert and Sidney, Sugar Sugar Rune, etc) but its really hard sorting out which ones should make the cut for my first video. Any that have significant progress, or a long history of search efforts would be cool and make for good content!
I wrote many of the anime dub articles on the site. I can't really tell you which are the most sought after, outside of the Doraemon stuff, but here are the ones I'm most interested in:
- Dragon Ball Z Kai: Anchored by some members of the original dub's cast, 98 episodes were produced to never see the light of day. - Idaten Jump: There's nothing unique about a lost Animax dub, but the U.S. one being so hard to come by is surprising to me. This show aired on mainstream TV in North America within the last 15 years. Someone has to have a copy of it all somewhere. - Zoids Genesis & Mermaid Melody: Made in the U.S. but only seen (in some form) overseas with scant traces remaining.

Thank you so much! People mentioned a couple of these to me, and Ill definitely include them as they're all fascinating! Thank you again! I'd like to give a quick shoutout to your profile in the video if that's alright with you?
I think a lot of shows from the 90s have sadly been redubbed leaving the original versions either lost or tough to track down. The VHS and original DVD release of "Vampire Hunter D" I felt had a slightly better dub but now it's not an option on the recent Blu-Ray/DVD. "Record of Lodoss War" & "Tenchi Muyo" were also redubbed for re-release if I'm not mistaken.
