I ask this because, I know I have tons of tapes but some may have been, over the decades, re-recorded over. Is there any way to possibly pay someone to recover perhaps the faint remains of a lost recording? Or is it just gone forever? I have no idea if any important ones have been but its a possibility, and I wonder how impossible it is to recover this? I expect they're gone forever, but I would settle for a faint, poor recovery really.
