In the early 2000s, the Central Office of Information in the UK ran a very successful PIF (PSA) campaign to promote adult education classes. They featured people being harassed by their "gremlins", grotesque and menacing characters who represented their weaknesses. Warwick Davis, of Star Wars and Willow fame, appeared in some of these PIFs.
I've been interested in this campaign since it scared me as a child, however when trying to put together a compilation I realised that at least one ad, and an alternate variation of another, were missing. Scouring advert breaks on YouTube turned up instalments in this campaign which I didn't even know existed, and were not documented online.
However, 'Entrance' from 2003 and the alternate cut of 'Petal', despite being well-documented in articles about the campaign, were nowhere to be found. I got in touch with Colin Lamberton, who served as writer and art director during the first few years that the gremlin campaign was running. He very kindly sent me copies of the PIFs I was missing, which can be viewed (along with others from the campaign) in the finished* compilation:
*I use "finished" very loosely as there may very well be PIFs which remain elusive; for example I cannot find 'Postcard' listed anywhere in spite of the fact I included it in the compilation.
So far, though, this seems to be the most complete collection of these PIFs available and I'm glad my hours of hunting paid off. Much credit to Colin Lamberton for his assistance, too!
