I'll start us off with The Chaser's War On Everything.
One of the funniest things to ever grace Australian television, the show was a mix of political satire and public pranks/stunts. Watching it today, the political stuff won't make a lot of sense to non-Aussies, but the pranks and stunts are still absolutely hilarious to watch. The show made international headlines in 2007 when members of the team snuck through several APEC security checkpoints in a fake Canadian motorcade:
I definitely recommend watching this show if you haven't seen it already; it's something that I go back and binge watch every few years and I never tire of it
Other hilarious/controversial moments:
That's just a handful, there are heaps of other hilarious bits; I really recommend just tracking the show down and watching all of it (pretty sure all 58 episodes are up on YouTube), you won't regret it.

Bojack Horseman. I dont know if Id call it my all-time favorite, personally, but it's definitely top 5. Why do I recommend it above anything else? Because it's a beautiful show that takes a deep, unfiltered look into the human condition. It deals with depression and dysfunction in people's lives better than any other program I've ever seen. And if Im being completely honest, it literally saved my life when I was close to suicide awhile ago. It doesn't sugar-coat anything and hits hard when it needs to, yet it's very witty and always leaves you with just enough hope. If you can accept that it's a cartoon about a talking horse, and get passed the mediocre (in comparison to what comes later) first 6 or so episodes, you're in for an amazing story. Episode 8 is where shit gets real, and it never lets up from there.

Brass Eye is similar to Chaser, I would recommend. The child predator episode is pretty good, not what it sounds like at all. (It uses hyperbole to satirize the news over blowing issues)
3-2-1 Penguins! I know its not everyones cup of tea. But its a really good show and i really recommend it. But warning, Zidgel is not likeable in some episodes.
I would recommend watching the Outer Limits reboot from 1995, for the following reasons:
1) Some of the episodes are really good.
2) Some of them are really bad. I mean really bad.
3) Some are so bad they are good.
4) It's an anthology series, so all of the episodes are different (with a few overarching story lines). I like the surprise factor, you never know if it's gonna be 1, 2, or 3, lol.
Codename: Kids Next Door is an amazing show that I'd highly recommend. It's got great, complex storylines and characters you come to really care about. There's a lot of drama, comedy, and even some tragic elements (like the Delightful Children's backstory). Of course it's aimed at children but I think anyone of any age can enjoy it. I still do and I'm now in my 20s.

In terms of comedy...I suggest this old show, Baby Blues, it was only on for one season but it was genuinely hilarious and very meaningful about family life and how it works. And this may be a shock (/sarcasm) but I also recommend the recent MLP series, which could be surprisingly serious and sardonically humorous, considering the "all ages" nature.
In terms of darker stuff...Game of Thrones, despite the last season being a bit of a let down, and Stranger Things. Explaining why precisely would require spoilers, so trust me when I say that they were stunningly well written shows with casts you genuinely become enthralled with.
