Platform(s): PC/Internet Game
Genre: Point-and-click.
Estimated year of release: Unknown
Graphics/art style: 2D pixel art. I think 16 bit? Idk, I'm not an expert when it comes to "bit" graphics.
Notable characters: The Skeksis, various podling servants.
Notable gameplay mechanics: Item collecting, a green to red bar that initiated a Game Over when it reached to red.
Other details: Might've made/released before Age Of Resistance.
I remember seeing this Tumblr post that talked about this point-and-click fangame made for The Dark Crystal . It looked pretty neat, and I wanted to play it, but I've since lost track of the original post.
The plot of the game was that you play as this little gelfling girl (Definitely not Jen or Kira) who was captured by the skeksis and forced to become a servant in the castle. The goal of the game was to do various tasks and favors for the skeksis, all the while trying to plan your escape. I don't think all of the skeksis made an appearance, I think there was only like 4 or 5. The Chamberlain, The Ritual Master, The Scroll-Keeper, The Treasurer, and someone else (I don't remember who). One of the most notable game mechanics was this green-to-red bar/meter that showed how much a skeksis liked you. If you said and/or did the wrong things the bar would lower, causing the skeksis to get mad at you. If the bar reached all the way to red, the skeksis would kill you, resulting in a game over.
The gelfling girl (if I recall correctly) looked something like this.
I also vaguely remember the game having a really generic name. Like "Dark Crystal Castle" or "The Dark Crystal Fangame"
If anyone can identify this, it would be much appreciated!
