I'm not sure if this thread belongs in lost or found media, because it's a little bit of a mix of both. Regardless, I've just recently made a discovery regarding lost Anime dubs from overseas.
As those of you who are familiar with Animax may know, they unfortunately very rarely ever distributed their dubs through home media. This has made trying to find a large majority of their dubbed content extremely difficult.
However, I've just discovered that some manufacturers made illegal DVD copies of some of their dubs. This archived listing for "Onegai My Melody" boasts that it has English audio for the series. The dub is better known as "My Melody's Magical Adventures", and you can find the article written about it here.
Unfortunately, I've been unable to find any DVDs featuring the English audio for sale. I wanted to make a post here to spread awareness, not only about Onegai My Melody, but for other lost Animax dubs that could possibly have these DVD copies available for sale.
Also worth noting: Some of the more obscure anime DVDs don't feature any English audio at all, unfortunately. This was the case for Spooky Kitaro 4 and 5. If you do start searching for these dubs, be sure to check the back of the DVD cases for the language options.

Not an anime, but there WAS a case where English was put in the back of the DVD cover as a language option, but wasn't on there. This was for a German DVD release of Dingo Pictures's Animal Soccer World. It's not even hidden in the DVD itself, there LITERALLY is no English track for it!

I doubt that’s actually the English dub. Most of the text is in Japanese. The article used to mention bootleg DVDs, but it was removed by someone that bought one and found that it didn’t have the dub.

Ultraviolet: Code 044 got a Region 1 DVD release, Nodame Cantabile got a Region 4 DVD release, Cardcaptor Sakura got a Region 1 DVD release, Fantastic Children got a DVD release and Gundam Build Fighters Season 1 got a DVD release. Other then those, getting DVD releases, I have no clue on any of the others. Many of the English dubs where produced by other companies so if you can find out which company dubbed which anime for Animax then you can see if the original dubbing company released it on DVD.

THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT!!! Don't trust everything that's on the back of the DVD!!!

That My Melody DVD set is a Malaysian bootleg (the round sticker on front being the dead giveaway to this). 90% of these Malaysian sets are unofficial and recorded directly from the broadcast network and even include the broadcast station IDs still! Whether it contains the English dub from Animax- its possible. It most definitely will have (terrible) English subtitles though.
