The first season of Grimm will be released on SDBD on May 25th. This is how they describe it:
Extras include: Alternate versions of The Traveling Musicians of Bremen and Bluebeard. Return to an enchanting time when witches, fairies and demons lived among royalty and common folk alike, when both human greed and kindness served as the catalyst for supernatural events.
18 of the best fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm and other authors are presented in this anime anthology. Some are famous, such as "Snow White" and "Cinderella," and some are lesser-known, like "The Water of Life" and "King Thrushbeard," but even the familiar stories have new twists that will entertain viewers of all ages. Includes two episodes that have never been broadcast before in North America, "Bluebeard" and "The Demon and the Devil"!
Ordered the Blu-ray and it's set to arrive on the 18th. Would be happy to share what is in the discs when they arrive.
Off-topic (but related to Grimm), I recently came into possession of a few episodes of "Lost Tales of the Brothers Grimm". Are these considered lost? I can't seem to find any episodes of it online but maybe I just can't in my region.

I would be very interested to know what exactly is on the Blu-Ray. In particular, if you could answer these questions -
Are the multi-part episodes in their original multi-part form (in the English version)?
Is the audio better than what it is on Amazon Prime? (The "Puss in Boots" episode in particular.)
Who is the female narrator in the alternate version of "The Traveling Musicians of Bremen"? And are any of the other voices different?
(I tried to get the message to Discotek that Saban never dubbed an uncensored version of "Bluebeard," and that the version they found in the LoC was the Saban version... but now that they're shipping it out it's too late. Oh well.)
Incidentally, does anyone know when they will be releasing the second season?
I raised my concerns about this season earlier. Does Discotek have the four lost episodes in English, and the uncensored versions of "The Four Skillful Brothers," "Bearskin" and "The Wren and the Bear"?
I guess we'll have to wait and see, or else hope they reach streaming early.

The answer is yes!
The four lost episodes of GFTC have been found. One thing on the list can finally be crossed off...
Something like super pig dub has a slim chance of being found correct? I'm surprised someone doesn't take the Saban Spanish translated dub and subtitle that back into English since those dubs usually directly translated the English dialogue verbatim, to the detriment of puns too.
Since I started this thread the only real findings of any lost Saban dubs in English were Discotek's complete release of Grimm's Fairy Tales and, just recently, three episodes of Maya the Bee that were finally uploaded from one of the VHS releases. (Now how about the other two?...)
There's been a lot more progress on non-anime Saban shows. We now have 29 episodes of Saban's Oliver Twist, the entirety of The Why Why Family and almost every episode of Jin Jin and the Panda Patrol. But there hasn't been much on the anime front at all.
I retract what I said about not all the episodes being dubbed. I just checked the SEC filing I linked before and it lists both seasons separately, but they combine for 47 episodes. I overlooked that before because I was using it to look for something else. My apologies on that. However, that site you linked doesn't seem affiliated with the Library of Congress, and all I can find on LOC's website about the show (and several others you mentioned) is copyright records, nothing about them actually having the material. The site you linked also seems to be just a copyright info site. If you want to improve the set, you could contact Discotek about that tape you have (as well as the Library of Congress thing in case I'm overlooking something there, which is possible). I don't know if it's too late, but it would probably be worth a shot.
What you're seeing are the copyright registrations for the show. All this is public info and you can search the copyright records here as well. When you submit a work for copyright, you have to submit a copy of the work as well.
When the registrations say something like "21 videocassettes ; 3/4 in." this means they sent in copies on U-Matic tapes, what a lot of companies used for broadcast masters back in the day.
(I should note I tried to contact Discotek on this some time ago and no one ever responded. Evidently they never got my message, considering they're still looking for Mon Colle Knights.)
