Classic video game you played back in the day that was bad

I played Fusion Frenzy on the Xbox with my family a lot, but I later learned it was criticized for being a subpar Mario Party knockoff. Admittedly, it kind of is, but we still had a lot of fun with it.

I also played the 2000s weird 3D reboot of Breakout on PC and really enjoyed it. It had a PS1 port, but I've heard it really suffered from not being mouse controlled.

Brawl really isn't that bad, the story mode helps it to standout in my opinion. The Wii U Smash was the worst in my opinion, I think splitting the game between console and DS had hurt it more than help it, it felt like it was lacking content to be honest.

breakout and pong type games suck with a standard controller, the only breakout type game I think worked with a standard controller is alleyway on the gameboy but only because that game had the ball and space you could move in small enough where it didn’t feel that awkward, I really need stop making such longer rant posts.

it was definitely more rewarding in melee than in 64 but the thing is I didn’t grow up with 64 or melee, only brawl and Wii U so I seem to be a bit more critical towards melee than everyone else, for example I feel the game has too many stages that move or side-scroll for my liking and the gameplay feels a lot more slippery than the modern games which I’m used to. Because I grew up with brawl and Wii U I feel like I’m able to accept their problems a bit more than other people who played the game, for example I’m fine with the art style brawl had and I feel smash worked well on the 3DS. But despite that ultimate is still my favorite. Crap I made another long rant again!

It's funny, I've owned every iteration of smash so I got a lot of opinions. I like Ultimate, it's cool they've included all the characters from the entire series, but I do wish it had a story mode closer to Brawl, just because unlocking the cut scenes felt more rewarding in my opinion.

Yeah especially because they have that really big animated opening in the intro that it sets you up to think there's more to it.
