There was a YouTube user named Sub2Me4ASub who joined in 2008 and became inactive circa 2011. He, as his named suggested, did sub4sub, a practice that is commonly hated, however, his videos, which starred a character which was a modified version of the default YouTube icon at the time with a text to speech voice, were actually entertaining enough to actually subscribe to. He inspired a whole movement of people who made their own channels inspired by his. I briefly tried to revive this movement in 2016-2017, when I was going through a hard time in my life because they were from the time that I consider to be when I was happiest, although this project has been put on hiatus indefinitely. Although most of his videos are archived, the channels inspired by him are in large part lost to time. The most notable S2M4AS spin off channels that are missing seem to be Awesub and TheSubPerson/MrSubPerson, who I remember being my favorites besides S2M4AS himself.
