Very old cartoon with two men (Old children's cartoon (probably black and white) - orange VHS tape, 1930-1960)
Backstory
When I was a very young child I often watched very old cartoons - some from the 30s and no doubt earlier. It would take too long to mention all of the companies I knew behind the cartoons I watched but it seems that one really stands out - Van Beuren Corporations. Why? Because over the years I have been finding the old cartoons I watched as a young child and a lot of them were made by Van Beuren Corporation. I have been mostly successful in finding the old cartoons simply by looking on Wikipedia or on YouTube or archives of cartoon companies. The cartoon show I will talk about has been stuck in my mind for years and I have searched for it on and off for years too. I loved the cartoon very much - I watched it from a VHS tape with Orange plastic and it was possibly my favourite of the old cartoons. It would be infinitely appreciated if it was found.
Description
The show had two male main characters. One was notably smaller than the other - perhaps about half the size of the other but they looked about the same age. Every episode was a caper - if there were episodes, I can't remember, The VHS either showed multiple episodes or a compilation or something like that as there were several adventures. The two men would get into ridiculous circumstances such as getting drunk and acting weirdly, walking dangerously on the beams of a building site or even being persued by a whale. Although it was a children's cartoon it showed a lot of adult humour - a lot of alcohol based comedy where drunk people do weird things.
Descriptions of scenes
- There is people in a bar and the bartender reaches for a bottle with a skull on it and hands it over, the customer drinks it and is immediately drunk and acts stupidly - a whole bunch of people end up drunk
- The two men are on a train and the taller man kicks the smaller man off the train
- The two men are persued by a huge whale
- The two men ride a two (or more lol - it's a cartoon) humped camel - well that or they were on their own camel with 2 or more humps (AT LEAST TWO ANYWAY JEEZ) anyway a camel starts getting thirsty so they stop by an oasis in the desert they are in and there is weirdly a water pump near the lake and they pump the water into the camel's mouth.
- One of them is either drunk or asleep and walks dangerously on beams on a building site
- Some scenes of them getting in trouble with police
- A scene in which police in a van ironically call for police even though they are police
Similar to Tom and Jerry
I told people about this cartoon in the Lost Media Wiki Discord server and somebody by the discord name, marbletech showed me a picture of an old cartoon called Tom and Jerry. No, not with the cat and the mouse! This Tom and Jerry was made by Van Beuren Corporation like many of the cartoons I had watched as I said before. This cartoon had two male main characters like the cartoon I remember but they looked too young and boy-like and after watching several videos and not finding any close to the episodes I remember I was and still am sure that it is not it - however if it helps anyone - the cartoon style is similar (more specifically the two main characters are not similar, in my opinion the main characters look much different but as far as the style of the other characters it is similar).
