Every evening, I would watch Upstairs Downstairs Bears in the 5/6pm timeslot. Sometimes between the commercial breaks, and after the credits, a small short would play.
It started with an old brown dog, sitting on a rocking chair in front of a fireplace. He held a book and introduced the story. Two more dogs would play the story, making jokes and fun of it. They preformed on a stage. I believe one was white and shaggy, and the other had large ears with some sort of accent. The white dog was eccentric and never did what he was meant to, and the other dog always got upset. Then, the first brown dog would return, state the moral and explain the real story, before thanking the viewer.
The one short I remember is a retelling of Daniel in the Lion's Den. I'm sure it aired next to Upstairs Downstairs Bears on Smile of a Child. I don't believe this show is Mustard Pancakes, but it may be related, or done by the same people. I think the white and accented dog were finger puppets, but I'm not sure on that one.

) The puppets are done in a different style, from what I can remember. I can even hear part of the title theme for this bible segment in my head.
