In 1978 Japan aired a TV series called Spider-Man (usually referred nowadays as Japanese Spider-Man or Supaidaman). The show was pretty nuts and completely removed from most iterations of the character, as it seemed more like Power Rangers than Spider-Man.
Anyway, in 2009 Marvel rereleased the series on its website, fully subtitled. The series has been removed from the site, but those subs are still around, be it on bootleg DVDs you can get at conventions or on the Internet Archive (https://archive.org/details/Supaidman)
However, here's where the lost media part comes in: in 2002, a book called Spider-Man: Confidential was released. It was an overview of Spider-Man in comics and TV shows, and it also had a bit about the development of the (then upcoming) 2002 movie. In the section on TV, there's a bit on Supaidaman.
Now, I've watched the entirety of the series, and some of the information in this section does not line up with the version I've seen. For example, Spider-Man Confidential refers to the villains as the Iron Cross, while the Marvel sub calls them the Iron Cross Army. The foot soldiers of the Iron Cross Army are referred to as Ninders in Spider-Man Confidential, while in the Marvel sub they're never named. Spider-Man Confidential lists the villain of episode 36 as the Iron Masked Miracle, and says the character can turn onions into drugs. In the Marvel sub, the character is called Dr. Miracle and, while onions are mentioned, the character is never shown to turn them into drugs. The episode titles are also a bit different. For example, Spider-Man Confidential lists the title of the first episode as "The Time of Revenge Hath Come! Strike the Iron Cross!" while the Marvel subs list the episode as "The Time for Revenge Has Come! Attack the Iron Cross Army!"
Admittedly, the changes between the Spider-Man Confidential version of the show and the Marvel subs aren't too different, but I still think there's definitely another version of the show out there with different subs or dubs.
