I posted about this specific piece of animation a while ago, but to get some of you up to speed, I've been spending the past few weeks searching for an early version of the intro to 1993's animated show Sonic The Hedgehog, nicknamed SatAM by fans. Even though storyboards of this intro were only included in the Complete Series DVD box-set of the show, the fully animated version DOES (or did) exist, as it was shown at the Consumer Electronics Show in 1993 and in a Saturday Morning block advertisement on ABC, which is where SatAM first aired in the US, and footage has popped up of it online. Alright, enough stalling, I'll just tell you all what I have found ouy.
One of the first things I decided to do was contact people who would be not only involved in the series, but people who may have worked on the intro. I was able to find the storyboarder for the intro, Lane Raichet, and email him about it. Lane told me that he hadn't found it in his archive yet, and that other people had inquired about it before. I also emailed the executive producer of SatAM, Andy Heyward, although he hasn't yet responded. So, I kinda consider the search dead for now, unless another lead is found.
The main reason I want this intro to be found is because of my own personal interest, and I just want to do something useful. If anybody would like to help, or have any leads, I would be grateful for your help! Seriously, I don't have any other leads.
