Weird 70s radio tower cartoon?

When you say “floating torso” do you mean it had no arms, no legs, and no head? This cartoon sounds very interesting and I would love to find it.

Now I’m really curious. What country do you think it was from? Do you think it’s possible to draw what these characters looked like?

Marche223, the animation style was really smooth, I can't compare the art style to anything in the 70s. The best I could compare it to is a mixture of don't starve and adventure time?? but there were still some differences, it had lines drawn in a lot for shadows for the characters.

Ehh, Moomins' art style isn't really comparable. I'd say it'd probably have characters' eyes be like the little black beads & no seen eyeballs similar to Adventure Time & their bodies would also be somewhat similar, but with more noticeable lines, sort of like a bunch of pencil lines drawn on some paper that somewhat resemble a character(I don't know the term for it, but I'd call it "chaotic lines").

Plus it says that they're LOOKING for a radio tower & I see no mention of where they lived, so they presumably are from some other place. Plus the surrealist aspect(like the cars being up on tree vines, every episode having an acid trip-esque sequence) isn't really in Moomins scenes that I've seen(it's kind of weird in some areas, but certainly not trippy). If anything, it more reminds me of Kidd Video, or, more fittingly considering this is a 70s cartoon he's describing, Doctor Snuggles.

Oh & a flying torso is kind of a self explanatory thing IMO. I mean, a MAGICAL. FLYING. TORSO. How would anyone NOT remember such an insanely weird looking character like that? Oh & Hobgoblin doesn't even somewhat resemble a flying torso to me, so THAT checks out. The fishing thing could also be a coincidence & nothing more, probably only being the 2 characters getting sidetracked.

The scarecrow meanwhile was said to have metal arms & legs. From what I can recall, Moomins does NOT have any sort of modern tech(instead it has more traditional stuff you would see in medieval times), even in the recent CGI series, Moominvalley. That is another reason for why it probably isn't the 70s Moomin anime.

The 70s Moomin anime was done in Japan by World Masterpiece Theater & was in Japanese despite the Moomins being from Finland. Japanese & English are VERY different languages, which is why it can be hard to accurately translate an anime into English.

This leads me to a possible theory that either he is right & that this is some American cartoon(possibly some local production from a state not all too well known for animation, like Maryland or Pennsylvania) or it could be from somewhere in Western Europe. It could've also been from Eastern Europe, but to my understanding, Eastern European cartoons at the time usually didn't follow the Western style of making & releasing episodes(instead episodes would be spread between years, sort of similar to the Peanuts TV specials) & that point, the languages(e.g., Polish, Slovene, Russian, Georgian, Czech, Serbian) become a bit harder to translate to English compared to Western European languages(French, Spanish, Dutch, Italian & Portuguese; Nordic languages are probably a fair bit harder to translate compared to other Western European languages).
