Around 2001, Burger King started doing this thing titled “Choose the Ooze” for a whole month in their kids meals. Instead of regular ketchup, you’d get green ketchup (basically Heinz E-Z Squirt ketchup in a packet), green apple dipping sauce (my favorite, despite not knowing about it because I was only an infant before it came out), and green Frozen Minute Maid drinks that tasted like cherry.

I really want to say that Burger King also did the sauce for a Nick promotion before this. I remember that sauce as clear as day, but I don’t recall green ketchup. I also think I was a bit too old for kids meals by 2001. I did a very quick Google search for the toys they did for Kids Choice award in ‘99, but I don’t see it. I will do some more sleuthing. EDIT: I found it! I was a promotion of Nick themed back to school supplies from 1999.

I don’t think the green sauce first came out in 1999. (At least from what I know)
