Hello, I'm making this thread to hopefully find and watch videos that I watched in my tweens. From what I can recall this where segments in between shows that talked about the various origins of different aspects of Halloween (Vampires, Jack O' Lanterns, Scarecrows, Ect). This segments where reruns that aired on the Hub Network (before it died) during the Halloween season around I would like to say in the year 2013/2014. I can say with certainty that these clips where not filmed during that time period but instead made during the 90's . The clips where hosted by the chick who played, "Sabrina The Teenage Witch", and "Clarissa Explains It All". (I don't remember her name but I do remember her face) So my guess is that they where filmed during the height of Sabrina's popularity (whenever that would have been). She could start off the segment by Saying "Welcome Back" fallowed by whatever the show was talking about for that segment. She was in front of a black backdrop with shadows and witches and bats and the like floating across the backdrop as she began and ended the episode. There was various clips of black and white stock footage along with original footage filming what she was talking about.
There are two episodes that I remember very clearly, one detailed the origins of carving pumpkins where she talked about Irish immigrants coming over to America and originally carving turnips before switching the pumpkins. There was black and white footage of ships sailing and people carving pumpkins before switching to original footage of the turnip Jack O' Lanterns. Another segment talked about the origin of witches and talked about Salem. I very vividly remember Sabrina talking about how a drunk guy walking alone at night thought he saw his wife riding a broomstick and that being how the witches riding brooms thing got started.
I've tried looking these videos up on YouTube a few times and can't seem to find any evidence of them. Last I checked was last Halloween. I don't know how many episodes where made and I honestly don't think the show had a name. Hopefully something comes of this.
