So, first...dont confuse this with Help Wanted. I heard that in 1996, in order to pitch the show, Stephen Hillenburg created a pitch pilot (to obviously pitch the pilot) to Nickelodeon.

Update: After some more research i found out that the "pilot" was actually a test audio clip.

yeah that one. on a site it said that a 3 minute pilot was made along side the pitch bible

I consider myself to know a lot about the history of the show, i have researched the topic for years so i'm pretty sure I would know if a 3 min pilot was made for the show in '96. there are 2 documentaries about the show, one specifically about the development about the show before the first episode, so I truly believe that no such thing exists.
