Image pretty much speaks for itself. Most of the deleted scenes for TCM2 that Cannon cut from the film can be found on YouTube, but this particular scene with Dennis Hopper is lost. However, I've found publicity photos for this scene online.
Footage for this scene is also featured in a TV spot *it's a blink or you'll miss it moment, it starts at the the 8 second mark*
Wow, I've been a fan of the film, but never even knew about this set of deleted scenes. I think the film's lost scenes deserve their own listing. Lots of gore was deleted from the film, which is perplexing since it was already X-rated. Thank God for the workprint retaining a lot of it, but that VHS quality might be the only surviving status of those scenes.
Just watched the Special Edition Blu-ray. There's two more stills from the missing scene in the special features (in addition to the one posted). Doesn't look like the scene itself is there, though. It looks like it probably didn't even make the assembly cut.
It is a very interesting scene that I too have always been curious about. Have you read Kit Carson's original script? It's much different than the finished version and more of an overt satire. When I was younger and first started getting into Chainsaw 2, I remember hearing that the film was gobbled up by Cannon and butchered with their own edit before Tobe could really finish his version. I know that the producers brought in a second unit crew to film some stuff toward the end, this includes the football player slaughter garage scene and some other deleted scene material, if I recall.
I'm not sure if this is the case though. I know Caroline Williams has claimed it in David Gregory's "Shocking Truth" documentary, but I'm not sure the extent of this. The scene in question does seem to have been filmed, and from what I remember off hand, was a sort of mescal-induced dream-sequence hallucination which involved chainsaws flying through the walls and things of that sort. The scene in the film in which Stretch meets Lefty in his hotel room seems to pick up right from this sequence, which is why Dennis did his spin-around method acting technique to appear drunk, as Caroline often says, just before the scene.
I wonder what other sequences like this would have been left out or how much of it was finished. Does it even exist anymore and if it does, would it be in the same quality as the other deleted scenes (missing audio from post, in rough late generation video, etc.)? I've been unsuccessful in getting anyone from Chainsaw 2 who was involved to speak to me about it thus far, but I know Bill Moseley is doing some conventions early next year in Austin. He likely wouldn't have been present for this scene, I imagine, but maybe he knows something about the larger problem of which scenes didn't make the finished cut.

VERY interesting if this scene is included. I'm not big on the workprint collecting/trading but I know there's one for TCM 3 that's found its way on Youtube plus Hooper's Invaders From Mars and some of his others. Would be awesome if someone out there has or has seen this and can confirm of the scene's there... or better yet, can share...
