Hello everyone! I am a first time poster, but longtime follower of the Lost Media Wiki. I appreciate everyone's hard work and contributions to the site.
I am finally making a post because I am having trouble finding a lost song by hip-hop artist Tory Lanez. I'm not too sure how many people are familiar with Tory or hip-hop in general, but he's a well known artist from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. As of 2020, he's had several hit songs and mixtapes, but the track in question is from earlier in his career (2010-2011) titled "Diamonds in the Sky".
I don't have much info on the track, as I've never heard it myself, but here is the information I do have:
- It is an unreleased outtake likely recorded in 2010 for Tory's 2011 mixtape, "Mr. Peterson" hosted by DJ Ill Will & DJ Rockstar.
- It was posted to Tory's YouTube account in 2011, but then taken down.
- The song is likely produced by Jay Fresco or Boi-1da
- It is NOT the 2016 song similarly titled "Diamonds" also by Tory Lanez or "Diamonds" by Rihanna.
I apologize in advance for the limited leads. I've reached out to Tory Lanez, Boi-1da, Jay Fresco, Dr. Ill Will, and Sean Kingston (who worked closely with Lanez at the time), but have not heard anything as of yet (and is probably a long shot to hear back from them).
I searched Google for that time frame with no hits. I also went through the Wayback Machine to Tory's YouTube page and didn't find anything related to the song. The archived pages for that time are limited and lead to dead ends (Captcha verification screens were archived instead of the actual pages).
The main sense of hope I have is that the evidence of another unreleased song from that time titled "Baby It's Over" (pictured below). There were also no information anywhere of this song either. This gives me hopes that "Diamonds in the Sky" does exist and maybe somebody has it saved as an MP3 or video.
If anybody can provide ANY help whatsoever on "Diamonds in the Sky". It is much appreciated. Thank you so much!
