Over the course of 3 days in June 2007, Chris Benoit had murdered his son, his wife, and himself. The night WWE did a memorial tribute on the RAW after his death, reports surfaced of police being under the belief that Chris had been the killer. After that, Mr. McMahon delivered a message via pre-tape on the ECW memorial show, stating that Chris Benoit would no longer be mentioned ever after the show. This led to WWE erasing him from history and changing/removing commentary from WWE DVDs, and removing anything regarding him or his wife on WWE Classics; though, this policy got modified by showing footage of his wife. However, these changes were not the only major things WWE did, as they removed Chris Benoit from SmackDown! vs RAW 2008, along with most of his moves such as his Crossface, and his Diving Headbutt. These moves were only disabled in the game, as seen here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwlStbKNuzE . Also, according to Wikipedia, there is an empty character space with these moves in and his attributes. However, what is unknown is if THQ made a new model of him or not. In every game he's been in, he's gotten a different pair of tights and a completely different face scan each game he was in.
