I remember a book I read in about grade 4 (2010) and i think it might have been a goosebumps book but it didn’t have a cover to it (the kids all ripped them off most of the books)
It started with a girl complaining about her braces and how they had to get tightened or something like that then some stuff happened then they went to this haunted house attraction thing in there town run by this man and his either mother or wife (I can’t remember which)
They take them on a tour of the place and they tell a story about this kid that dropped a cat from a high window and was sad that it landed on its feet. They also went into a nursery type place with a rocking chair that moved on its own then some other stuff happened then at the end we found out from there parents that there hasn’t been anyone there in like 40 years and we see in the window the adults disappear as they were dead the whole time
