This is not a particularly popular topic but I do think it's fairly interesting.
The V-Cast game is really the only Kingdom Hearts game that seems to be missing, but a lot of information has been released and discovered about it fairly recently. A rom was dumped online some time ago but due to the fact that there isn't a V-Cast emulator it's unplayable. Some of the models are accessible at least so we can get some sense of what the game looked like (beyond the bad quality videos.) Ideally an emulator will be developed at some point so it can in fact be playable and no longer lost. A lot of people in the kingdom hearts community are curious to see more of the game, although it's widely believed to be a pretty bad game (given that the V-cast was not the best gaming console.)
Yay! Big KH fan here; I was always interested in this and even asked about it on KHInsider. It's kind of like TEP, in that it wasn't that long ago, and it's weird that it's lost considering how recent it was.
I guess it's on the brink of being found, but I'm more curious about the expansion packs than anything else.
♪ Good day, good day, I'm glad you came my way... ♪
Yeah i'm not sure exactly what parts of the game are in the ROM, so some of it may still be lost. I had a friend who had a Vcast when I was younger and he had the game, although he doesn't anymore. He doesn't seem to remember it all that well either, so i'm assuming it was at best lackluster. Nonetheless it would be interesting to play through the game.
The problem is of course that even if someone had a Vcast that is still usable you can't access the store anymore so it would have to already be preloaded with all the episodes (there were four.) There was a guy on reddit I remember who said he still had it and had the first three episodes, but even if he were to find a way to transfer the content online it would be pretty useless since there is no emulator. I guess the question is if there is really enough demand for a V-cast emulator.

It sounds like the tutorial and Swashbuckler's Island, which there already exists gameplay clips for on YouTube, and I guess all the Disney worlds were DLC.
Oh, so the four episodes are Swordman Island, Wonderland, Agrabah and Maleficent's Fortress. A description reads "Sora is helped by more than 20 characters over the course of the game", and there are under ten known characters (including Sora), some being villains.
On that KHInsider thread I saw credits, so maybe contacting a director, producer or really anyone on that list and just asking them about the game would help. Like I think AntiSora is fought during the tutorial?
It kind of bothers me that KHCentral made a video on this and was like "Yay, everything's found! There's nothing left to search for; let's wrap this with a nice tight bow", and I'm just thinking "dude, I didn't even learn anything new".
I mean, the reason I want to discover everything about this game is because of little we know, it contains so many things that have never appeared in the KH universe again.
Edit: I mean the developer was Superscape, who was purchased by Glu Mobile, so asking them seems as hopeless as asking around about the Mallow plush.

Yeah I think a good deal of the tutorial is on youtube, but nothing else outside of the models themselves (which I assume is from beyond the tutorial.) They were each individual episodes, and I remember reading that they were no longer playable upon completion which seems like poor game design.
It's mentioned that Jafar was supposed to appear (Yuriofwind's video which is pretty informative on the topic: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bcv1VBuBfw), and a Capterpillar of sorts in Wonderland. I assume a lot of the other characters are like Aladin, Jasmine, Alice, Queen of Hearts, etc. The model video didn't seem to show Jafar though so i'm a little unsure. My thinking is that only a portion of the full game was uploaded, and therefore only so many models can be extracted from it.
Since this is the only major piece of Kingdom Hearts lost media (I think the original KH Coded is lost as well, but since it's remade it's safe to assume most of the content was exported to that version), there seems to be a lot of demand for it. It doesn't really matter how bad of a game it is it's still of interest to a lot of people since it's something they haven't played. It's non-canon so it's not for story it's merely out of interest, but that's just as important in my view.
It seems like a lot of KH youtubers seem to have some interest in the game, but just assume that since there is a rom that is found it's already found...which really isn't true. I don't know what the ROM contains personally, but it's clear that it's in a state for playtesting. I think HMK did a video on it as well with a similar opinion if I recall from a while ago.
I think this will eventually be found given the fact that it must have had numerous downloads given the popularity of the series. People would still try it out even if it was awful. I imagine a lot of people kept their V-Cast because it's a piece of technology that will become increasingly rare in the future. If there were more focus on this particular piece of lost media I would imagine there would be a copy available. Even in the worst case scenario where no one has the content anymore in full, it's likely that there's a backup somewhere by the company (even after changing hands), that would have been saved digitally given how recent this piece of media is.
My thinking is that only a portion of the full game was uploaded, and therefore only so many models can be extracted from it.
Oh yeah; that's right. Only the base game was uploaded, which is like the tutorial and Swashbuckler's Island, or Swordman Island. How it got two names is beyond me.

Maybe in was a translation error. Still seems really odd to me though.
There was a guy on reddit who said he had the first three episodes of the game and that his V-Cast is still functional. He claimed that since he can't replay the levels (again poor game design), so he can't directly record the footage. I would imagine the first three episodes could theoretically be uploaded though. www.reddit.com/r/KingdomHearts/comments/44zs6u/has_anyone_here_actually_played_the_vcast_game/ v
Also a guy on KHinsider I think had played the full game (no evidence really but allegedly), and provided a basic synopsis of the game. I'l try to find the thread again assuming it hasn't been deleted.
I also can't find a single review for the game interestingly enough. Gamespot has some footage of it, but it's not a review. It seems quite odd to me given how the V-cast games had received reviews.
Is it me or this game looks like it would fit the 64/PS1 era?
The game was made available on Verizon phones in 2005 until the V-Cast Network's dissolution in 2012, so I would say the game's graphics would fit in with the Nintendo GameCube/PlayStation 2/Xbox generation it came out in.
Besides, mobile gaming wasn't as strong in 2005 than it is today, so it would be understandable that the game's graphics would look a bit dated compared to the other Kingdom Hearts games.
Despite the frustrations of normal day life we go through, the best thing to do about it is still being happy for our friends and family.
So I recently learned Sora accidentally lights Goofy's head on fire in this game... it was all a dream, but Sora wakes up and Goofy's head is actually on fire...
we have to find this game.
