Charlotte Holmes aka Sherlock and Me is a 1982 English adaptation of the 1977 Nippon Animation anime "Angie Girl".
Upon watching numerous Nippon Animation intros i became particularly interested in the one for Angie girl. i liked its funky beat and the premise is quite interesting as detective stories and police related material is really up my alley. the show focuses on Angie the niece of Sherlock Holmes, though i believe in the original Japanese release he had a different name. the two are assisted by Scotland Yard Inspector Jackson (called detective Michael in the English version, Michael Jackson?) who doesn't like Angie at first but the two become friends as time goes on. They are also sometimes assisted by a boy i can't find the name of. All versions of the show are not accessible to English speakers the only episodes available are in Italian or Japanese with no subtitles (the Italian intro is also BANGIN!). while looking for English version i came across an article by Anime Bargain Reviews about the English version called Charlotte Holmes. it's dubbing is terrible and the show has been given awkward live action segments. several linked videos show the awful dubbing and it seems several have been taken down. looking on eBay for a DVD release will only yield a love novel and the Spanish version. the videos and pictures by Bargain bin reviews and the Wikipedia page seem to be the only evidence of the English version's existence. reverse image searching the picture of the English cover only link back to bargain bin reviews. this is one of numerous nearly lost and inaccessible Nippon animation shows like WMT classics Lucy-May of the Southern Rainbow and Araiguma Rascal
