What tv show or an episode of a tv show did you used to think was a fever dream or something you thought you made up in your imagination but you later found out it was actually real?
Well I don't know about TV shows, but I remember when my dad and I were TV surfing we found a movie about a pale bald guy with superpowers. I completely forgot about it except when it popped up in my mind once in a blue moon. I was going through pictures of Sean Patrick Flanery on his IMDb page and I found some images from that movie, and I remembered watching that movie. It's called "Powder" made in 1995. Turns out the movie had Jeff Goldblum in it too lol.
Not me, but a friend of mine had this weird obscure memory of a deformed guy hiding a baby's body on TV? She said she saw it randomly as a kid at a weird time and she had no idea what it was, or if she dreamt it. We did some searching together, and I was convinced it was probably something that played on TCM (her description was that it was a black and white movie), lo and behold after searching so many old movies we found it! She was incredibly excited to finally see it was in fact a thing. I think we also found when it aired on TV and figured out when she saw it, which was also neat, since our memories tend to gaslight us.
The Amazing Adrenalini Brothers. For years I had vague memories of watching a show on Boomerang at 11PM about luchadors that I didn't know was real or not. Then one day recently, I came across the show through sheer dumb luck when I saw it mentioned in a random Wikipedia article.
There is something very eerie and unsettling about this show which made me a bit uncomfortable as a young child. And to make matters weirder, it never appears in 90s nostalgia memes. It's a fantasy show, so there is magic, and I thought it was strange that there was a pink elephant and a flying pig. Usually when people are high or drunk and start hallucinating, that is what they claim they see.
Not a show, but that scene from Zoom where the kid's pants puff up and he jumps in a pool, getting rid of all the water in it in the process. Idk if I saw it in the trailer or if I watched the movie.

I completely forgot that films soundtrack contained Smash Mouth and Jimmy Eat World.
