Hello, there! I'm very new here, so please go easy on me.
Anyways, I'm trying to find an old childhood short of mine. When I was little, I had a LOT on VHS tapes. I had Disney, Power Puff Girls, Christmas movies, you name it. Among these, was one very peculiar piece of media. This tape had no case, no cover, just some writing in pen (and I forgot what it said). So, it was likely recorded.? If it is anywhere now, the tape would be somewhere in a box at my grandma's, so I'll have another update if I ever find it.
So, the VHS tape had a short in it. Well, it wasn't as long as a movie or a short, it was maybe about 30 minutes long. From what I remember, the film would start from a view of Scrooge Mcduck's mansion, then, the door would open, exposing a bright yellow light. The camera would zoom in inside. From inside the mansion, Scrooge would come out, introduce himself, and welcome you. The entirety of the film would be him showing you around all the different rooms of the mansion. However, they would all have something to do with music.
In one room, he would pull out a very very tiny piano in a glass case. He would open it up, play a few notes, then laugh and say he was only messing with you. Then, he would go on and play music from a very large grand piano. The camera would zoom in on the music sheets. In the music sheets, these two "things" (I can't remember what or who they were) would dance around to the song. And I want to say they were stop motion animated. The whole thing was very creatively done. After the song and dance is over, it fades back to Scrooge.
Another room I remember, is the most vivid thing I remember in this animated short too. Now I don't remember how we transition to this song and dance, (perhaps Scrooge pointed at a poster?? I think??) But this song is with an old time-y megaphone singer. He had the full "barber shop quartet-like" costume. He had the hat, and a red pinstripe suit. He would sing in the megaphone, and make weird "whomp whomp" noises, too. And whenever he would face the camera with his megaphone, you could see through the megaphone into his mouth. However, I guess for creative stuff, his mouth and face would be colored in with abstact colors. Kinda like the face guy from Seasame Street. This megaphone singer kinda scared me a bit.
That's all the details I really remember from this short. It would go on and on to more rooms, and more creative songs and dances like the ones I mentioned. In the end, he would say goodbye, and like the beginning, the camera would zoom out of the view of the mansion, then the door would close.
Has anyone else seen this short? I've tried searching on the internet and have found nothing. Please keep in mind that my memories aren't perfect and I could have possibly misremembered some details. I'm still debating whether or not there was a narrator too, and he would bicker with Scrooge from time to time. (I really think that is true, but I'm not sure)
It would really mean a lot to me if there was someone who could help me find this childhood short.
Thank you so much! Have a good day, I'll try to update.
