[Note: This is going to be fairly long]
When I first started using YouTube in early 2008. There was a bunch of Titanic videos I remembered watching when I was seven. But now those videos no longer exists now. Would these belong in the lost YouTube video category? The first ever video I remembered watching on YouTube was some Titanic fan video. And it had scenes probably from the James Cameron film. It was either a remix of An Ocean of Memoirs or My Heart Will Go On. Might’ve been back in January of 2008. So it was 11 years ago almost 12 now. I can’t remember much of it now because it’s been so long. How I discovered it was when I was searching on Google Images for photos of the ship either real or stills from the movie. This was back when you had flip page to page instead of scrolling down like now. That’s all I have to say about it. Then there was a bunch of other Titanic videos made back then that I remembered watching. Let’s start with the LEGO ones. There were a lot of them but I’m going to narrow down a few. The first one was a made in either late 2007 or early 2008. It was probably done in photoshop mixed with some 3D graphics. But all I remembered was a shot of the ship sailing at night around the time it struck the iceberg. It was in poor quality. Cuts to a close up of a LEGO figure possibly Murdoch. Then shows people seeing the iceberg in the A Deck Promenade. I remembered watching that video in March 2008. The second video was video involving toy dinosaurs which it really wasn’t LEGO. Basically It was in Spanish. Had a giant styrofoam replica of the ship. The guy would move the toy dinosaurs around. The third was a three parter video. And it had audio from the James Cameron film. It got taken down for sometime in 2008. Then sometime in 2009 the following year it was re-uploaded again. But got taken down again a few years later. The fourth was a video made by some channel back in late 2009, so like between October or November. Probably a three or four parter. The first video began with the THX sound. There was once a special edition of it made which it was an updated version with better audio. The fifth were videos made by a channel name I can’t remember like other four. The first one was a LEGO sinking video that had Hey There Delilah by Plain White T’s being played. While the other was a comparison to the other LEGO Titanic models he’d built. Lastly, the third was a video about the ship and it had Ave Maria being played chronicling the ship from its launch to the sinking. Lastly the sixth. Were two videos made by RH between 2006 and 2007. One was the ship sinking on the night. But you see the stern hitting the water after breaking in two which isn’t shown. While the other was a recreation of the ship being raised from the 1980 film Raise the Titanic. Only stills of both these videos can be found on MOCPages. There were other Titanic videos made at the time. One were two videos made by BarryDennen12. Who did that walkthrough video of the Titanic: Adventure of the Time PC game. The first one was them doing a riff on both the James Cameron film and the one made from 1953. But both got taken down I believe due to copyright. While other was showed the only footage of the ship in dry dock. Then it cuts them doing using a scale model of the ship and a piece of styrofoam for the iceberg. Sometime in April 2008, there were a series of videos made of the ship. Probably a five parter. And it had music from Adventure Out of Time. The art style was done probably MS Paint. With the art style you couldn’t see the eyes because they were shaded. One of the comments said that they almost looked like zombies. Another was in poorer quality for art style a beginning shot was the ships bow lowering down as it’s taking on water. You could hear and see a distress flair being fired into the air.
