Apparently, Hajime Katoki's earliest wasn't Gundam Sentinel. Around 1984-85, there was a Super Spacetime Fortress Macross Dōjinshi that Katoki did some artwork for Sky Angels (a.k.a. Macross Journal). So far, only the "Special Edition" and volumes 3 & 4 have had their existence confirmed. Moreover, most sources are only in Japanese.
