AOL is/was such a huge service in the 90s and early 2000s. It's too bad that versions 2.5 - 6.0 were discontinued a while back. But the good thing is that I haven't heard whether or not versions 7.0 and beyond have been discontinued. That leads us to now. I need some help.
I downloaded and installed AOL 8.0 Plus, and it seemed to be working fine during installation and setup. I tried establishing a connection via TCP/IP (because I had connected via that on AOL Desktop 9.7 a few years ago and I had seen LGR on YouTube sign on to AOL 4.0, a version from the late 90s, via TCP/IP too) but I get an error EVERY TIME. This also happened on version 7.0. (If anyone is wondering, I could not install version 9.0 correctly.) If anyone on this forum knows what to do, or if you know a more suitable place for this post, please reply!
