Hey everybody
As of right now i'm on a sort of quest to recover some footage which i'm sure is out there somewhere. I've tried myself & come to no avail so I figured there might be someone on this forum who could help me find what i'm looking for.
Essentially, what I'm trying to find is firstly, a set of deleted scenes from the first George Of The Jungle movie, originally released in 1997, it had a lot cut from it. I have a copy of the movie & its respective workprint but there is still missing scenes which I have no idea where to look to find them or even who to contact to get the ball rolling on whether there would ever be any possibility of seeing these scenes. I am only aware of these scenes as in the George Of The Jungle wiki there are screencaps of these deleted scenes (https://disney.fandom.com/wiki/George_of_the_Jungle_deleted_scenes) which don't seem to be on the internet (the video of these deleted scenes) but these pictures point to proof of existence, it's just a matter of trying to figure out where I would go to find these scenes & again, finding the right person to contact.It doesn't help that all of the George Of The Jungle DVD releases never had any deleted scenes content So I've hit a dead end & am hoping that somebody on these forums might be able to help.
Then with the second movie, on most of the dvd releases, 7 deleted scenes were put on. Yet there is footage on the internet of three other deleted scenes, which don't appear on the DVD releases, so i'm hoping somebody may know where I can find the origin of these deleted scenes, whether it's on a specific DVD release, i'm not too sure. The BBFC database lists the 9 deleted scenes on something called a "DVD bonus compilation" (https://bbfc.co.uk/releases/george-jungle-2-dvd-bonus-compilation-1970). I would love to figure out how I would be able to pick up a copy of said compilation or just figure out where these deleted scenes came from.
My Intrigue has peaked at this point. I know this is kind of bizarre but if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated & I would love to talk with anyone further who could help me out on my search of uncovering these lost deleted scenes
