I'm not sure if we ever had an entry for this in the Wiki, and I was meaning to make a post about this for well over a year but I never got around to it.
For anyone who is a fan of Allison Pregler (aka Movie Nights / ObscurusLupa), you might have seen the two videos she made about this discovery. For those who are out of the loop, last year, Allison (who is a hardcore Quantum Leap super fan), won an eBay auction with photo negatives from the show. Within the negatives were film cells from an alternate take for the series finale, as it was unclear whether or not the show was going to be cancelled or not - thus resulting in one of the most bittersweet endings in TV history. The ending was debunked as ever existing, but this changes things.
So, that's the end of things? Not really. A year later, Allison made an update video with video evidence confirming the existence of the lost ending - including information about interviews she did with cast members to verify things.
I'm not sure if this is of interest to anyone or if there's Quantum Leap fans here, but I thought it would be something to bring up.
I am a fan of Allison Pregler (along with her boyfriend Phelan Porteous), so this is a great find to me, even if I am not a fan of Quantum Leap. I mean an alternate ending to the final episode of the series ("Mirror Image") that nobody knew existed or was even filmed until now, sounds very interesting and worth being noted on the next Lost Media Wiki notice board as one of the findings.
Even if the audio quality of the footage found is bad (probably because it's the first take of the alternate ending, but thankfully there are subtitles provided by her in the follow-up video), it's great that Allison gets to be a part of the show's history and an important fan of the series.
Despite the frustrations of normal day life we go through, the best thing to do about it is still being happy for our friends and family.

I agree. The amount of dedication she has had to look for this is just amazing. I haven't explored the waters with Quantum Leap, but I hope that this find opens the flood gate to finding the rest of the ending - assuming it was filmed.
Though this news did not end up on the recent notice board (one admin messaged me on the forums that they only report news on subjects that already have articles on the wiki), I was still allowed to create an article on this alternate ending and counted it as "Partially Lost" because there still may be more footage to uncover.
I filled it up with details about the episode's plot (including the ending that ended up being in the episode), a bit of fan reactions to the original ending, the show itself, and information about the alternate ending itself.
Despite the frustrations of normal day life we go through, the best thing to do about it is still being happy for our friends and family.

Thanks for creating a page on this. I was honestly hoping one would have sprang up last year since I thought the news was a big thing for a while, but better late than never. Kudos, man.
