My father has told me recently that he is having trouble finding a certain cartoon from circa 1974. He says that, from what he remembers, it's about an island on which all of its citizens get whatever they want, whenever they want it. They eventually become curious of the source of these things, so they search around the island for it, and they find a machine that absorbs everything, such as the trees and rocks, from one side of the island and converts them into items for the citizens on the other side. He says it is not a series, just a standalone cartoon, and he also notes that there's a teeny tiny chance that it may involve Yogi Bear, but he highly doubts it. Quite unfortunately, he doesn't know what channel it could have been on, but does any of that sound familiar to you guys?
It sounds like a Hanna-Barbara cartoon. Those got pretty whacky and ridiculous in the 70's.
Maybe but I doubt it would be Hanna-Barbera, otherwise it would've been a bit easier to solve & I could've found it before I even saw this thread. Not Filmation either. Probably from some lesser known studio & maybe European. Plus the bear could've been some other anthropomorphic bear, likely a black bear instead of the kind of bear Yogi is... grizzly, right?
