In 2008, filmmaker Geoff Searle premiered what he claimed to be the world's first "one man film"'; the first feature-length film to be written, directed, acted, and edited by just himself. The film received relatively positive reviews from the few that are still available online. It was shown in Leicester Square, London on April 1, 2008 and received a small bit of fanfare from television news outlets. Footage from the premiere can be found in the video below.
To my knowledge, the film has not been released to the public or been shown again after this premiere. The film used to have a website which has since been deleted sometime in 2016 (but can be viewed at this archived link; web.archive.org/web/20160110173327/http://www.madnessinthefirstdegree.com/).
There was an email address featured on the site which I did contact sometime in 2009 but no longer have the email saved. I believe it was an associate of the director who wrote back to me and said at that time they were exploring a DVD release but that obviously was never followed up on. I tried to contact it several years later but found that it was dead. I've looked around online but I haven't found any recent information about the film or a way to contact Geoff Searle about its potential release. I forgot about the movie until recently and would really like to see it in some form.
If anyone is able to find a way to contact anyone who was involved with the film or has any more information on it, I'd really appreciate it! I know that it is complete and has been viewed by people since the premiere did go on but has been hidden away since! I'll include a few more links to information that I've found below in case that helps! Thank you for your time!
