Creepy short about an eye from the 50s

Hello everyone. The Clockman discovery brought me here, as I remember watching it on Pinwheel in the 80s as well and it was definitely creepy af. I am hoping maybe I will have some luck with a show my father told me about when I was a little girl. He watched it when he was a kid, probably in the 50s, and his summary is as follows: A boy he orders an eye from a magazine or cereal box. The eye arrives in the mail, and he’s freaked out by it. He tries to get rid of it, but it keeps coming back. He smashes it, buries it, etc., but it always reappears and when it does, the music would make an !!!!!! sound. At the end of the show, you see the boy and the eye is kind of floating around his head. That story has stayed with me my entire life, and I have searched for any evidence of it on the Internet to no avail. I asked my dad if it was possibly Alfred Hitchcock, but he said it was more of like a Frankenweenie type episode. Anyway, it’s probably lost forever, but I would love to see it, and I would love to be able to show it to my father. Any help in retrieving The Eye! would be appreciated. 🙂
