I have faded memories of a cartoon involving two mice, which I would have seen in the early- to mid-'00s.
The way I remember it, the two mice were bipedal and the same size as real-life mice, one of the mice was short, and the other mouse was much taller and had buck teeth. Based on this description, some of you readers may think, 'Surely it's Pinky and the Brain', but because of these other details that I remember, I'm not actually sure:
1) I think that the mice both had American accents. To my recollection, the short one had a normal-sounding voice, but the tall one had a dopey voice; something like Goofy.
2) I think that the mice were both wearing clothes, including hats.
3) I'm not sure what colour the mice were.
4) I don't think that the tall mouse had a big nose.
5) I think that the setting of the cartoon was a well-lit house.
As for what happened in the cartoon, here are the two scenes that I remember:
1) The two mice were apparently trying to infiltrate something. The short one had an inkwell full of some sort of transparent liquid, which he told the tall one was an ink that would make the tall one invisible. The short one used a paintbrush (which was as big as he was) to briefly wipe the liquid on the tall one's body, and then pretended that he couldn't see the tall one. The tall one then told the short one, 'I'm right here'.
2) This scene happened at the end of the cartoon. I think that there was a third mouse present here, but I have no idea what it looked like. It showed the tall mouse presenting a large cake, which had lit sticks of dynamite instead of candles, to the other two mice. The short mouse exclaimed something along the lines of, 'Are you sure those are candles?!', to the tall mouse, with an alarmed tone to his voice. The cartoon ends with the three mice tossing the cake to each other; the short mouse and third mouse were probably panicking as this happened.
Are these just badly-memorised scenes from a Pinky and the Brain episode, or something else?
