I don't know if these is lost media that is worthy to talk about, but this about a very infamous case on "Unsolved Mysteries". I am currently debating if I should make a page about this.
To say it short, Dale drove to his as a security guard at a factory in Bradford, Pennsylvania at 11 P.M, the next day he was nowhere to be seen.
CCTV footage showed a masked man at the building who stole $250,000 worth of platinum in the plant. It is unknown to this day Dale was an innocent victim and or he was on the robbery himself. As of this day I am typing this, his body has yet to be found.
The investigators did not want Unsolved Mysteries to use the actual CCTV footage, they had to recreate it. What I always have wondereed is how accurate the real footage compared to the UM segment, I wonder why the show wasn't allowed to show the real CCTV footage. There could be something very revealing on the tape that could heavily imply Dale was in fact on the robbery. (Detectives might leave an important thing from the investigation to the public because it's something only the murdered would know)
By the way, if you Google the CCTV footage, it only shows the reenactment from the Unsolved Mysteries segment.
I'm figuring it now depends if the police department has kept it or maybe his family has a copy. Given that the statue of limitations ran out a long time ago on the copper theft and Dale is presumed deceased now.
Heres the link to the original surveillance video, its almost an hour long. Unfortunately its very poor quality but it is timestamped to where you can sort of see when the intruders appear in it.
Its from a private Facebook group so maybe you may not have access to it
